In the peeling,the distance between the two clamping heads of the CNC peeling machine determines the length of the peeling wood section,and therefore also the width of the unscrewed veneer strip.It has a maximum distance and a minimum distance.The length of the wood segment should not be greater than its maximum distance and not less than its minimum distance.The height H from the center line of the chuck axis to the machine bed determines the maximum diameter D of the rotary wood section,D=2H-100mm.The maximum diameter of the peeled wood segment also depends on the maximum distance between the centerline of the chuck shaft and the tool bed.The length of the rotary knife is generally 50 mm longer than the maximum distance between the two chucks.The rotation speed of the chucking shaft is related to the transmission mode of the veneer peeler transmission device,and is determined according to the requirements to ensure the best peeling conditions.The current veneer peeling machine can be divided into two types according to the rotation speed of the clamping shaft during the peeling process.One is that the rotation speed of the clamping shaft is fixed;the other is that the rotation speed of the clamping shaft increases with the rotation of the wood segment.The working feed speed is the movement of the cutter bed(rotary knife and pressure ruler)in each rotation of the chuck shaft or in each minute,measured in mm/revolution or mm/min.The feed speed determines the thickness of the unscrewed veneer.In order to obtain different veneer thicknesses,the veneer peeling machine is equipped with a feed speed changing mechanism and a feed box.The rapid advance and retreat speed of the knife bed is the moving speed of the knife bed approaching the wood segment before the rotary cutting starts and the knife bed leaving the wood segment(wood core)after the end of the rotary cutting.
In order to reduce the auxiliary time occupied by these actions to a minimum,the rapid advance and retreat of the tool bed generally uses a relatively high speed.The coarse feed speed is the moving speed of the knife bed before the rounding of the wood segment at the initial stage of the rotary cutting.In order to minimize the rounding time of the wood segment,the feed speed of the coarse rotation is much higher than that of the fine rotation.The axial feed speed of the chuck shaft should make the time between the tool bed retraction room and the wood core loosening time equal.There are two ways of axial movement of the chuck shaft:screw drive and hydraulic cylinder.The diameter of the chuck determines the smallest possible diameter of the wood core during peeling.The power of the main drive and the power of all motors on the veneer peeler(in kilowatts)determine the thickness of the veneer that may be peeled,and the power consumption of the veneer peeling.The length,width,and height of the outer profile of the veneer peeler are measured according to the most protruding part of the machine tool.
